A Play by MIKE RICE
In a dystopian American city, defiance becomes the only weapon against tyranny
In an American city in the not-too-distant future, a right-wing and heavily armed Christian Nationalist couple with ties to elected MAGA leaders are kidnapping people who they deem as political opponents and throwing them into a prison that has been built inside the city's most iconic landmark.
They are using any means necessary, including the threat of public execution, to "re-educate" their captives.
The newest prisoner—the drummer for a famous heavy metal band—is forced into a cell with a star NFL running back, a local television news journalist, and a retired high school teacher. The drummer's loud defiance puts him and his cellmates in the ruthless captors' crosshairs.
